A new collection by Jonáš Hájek (b.1984), a poet of the youngest generation, who received the Jiří Orten Prize and was nominated for the Magnesia Litera for his debut Suť.
Jonáš Hájek (1984) graduated from the Prague Conservatory, majoring in cello, and studied musicology at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University. He works as an editor in a music publishing house. He publishes musicological studies (the journal Musical Science, etc.). In 2007, he published a collection of poems, The Suffocation (Jiří Orten Award). He works in the editorial office of the internet review A tempo; he participated in the preparation of a book of interviews with poets of the 1990s Under Foreign Skies We Wandered Together (2009). He publishes texts about literature on respekt.cz. He is currently translating the German poet Günter Eich. He lives in Prague.
