The book is an illustrated selection of J. H. Krchovský's published and unpublished poems from 1979-2015, which are "linked primarily by the motifs of the four seasons and the themes of the passage of time and human life. In the world of Krchovsky's poems, which, for all their formal refinement, often have the characteristics of diary entries, the reader can observe not only the cycle of days, nights, months and years with their characteristic attributes, rituals and atmospheric changes, of lights, shadows, darkness and flashes, but also discover dense micro-dramas and stories, whose protagonist at the same time permanently shapes, above all, his own unique self-portrait," writes the editor of the volume, Terezie Pokorná.
The book is accompanied by 14 linocuts by Viktor Karlík, inspired by Krchovský's poetry. The book is published in the RR edition with graphic design by Luboš Drtina.
