Rabín Gustav Sicher
The book documents the life and personality of Rabbi Gustav Sicher (1880-1960), the post-war chief rabbi of Prague, co-author of the first rabbinic translation of the Five Books of Moses into Czech, a distinctive and brave man. His memories, collected and retold by Zuzana Peterová, are complemented by Sicher's biography by Daniel Polakovich and a number of unique documents from archives in Bohemia and Jerusalem; photographs are also included, including rare images by Jan Lukas from the 1950s.
