Lesní chodci
The thematisation of the conflict between the main characters' desire for "vagabond" independence and the fatal consequences to which their kinship of choice leads them, as well as the distinctive language, foreshadows the plot and style of Ryšavý's great novels - Journeys to Siberia (2008) and The Killer (2010), which won awards in the Magnesia Litera competition. (In addition to these novels and Forest Walkers, Martin Ryšavý's literary and film work has also been published in the RR Editions, including the prose novel The Four-Column Island Station, as a supplement to the quarterly Revolver Revue No. 82/2011, and the DVD of the film Malupien, Alder Spas, as a supplement to RR No. 78/2010.)
The starting point for the distinctive prose form of Forest Walkers was the author's film script, which became the basis for the film of the same name directed by Ivan Vojnar.
