Když dá husa huse pusu
Poems about animal families, intended to entertain children and parents with parables about family life, both animal and human, and to introduce, in passing, the designations for males, females and young, though not always in a completely orthodox way.
Robin King's text, full of wit and endearing irony, provides an opportunity for more active parents to introduce the subject of traditional family roles. The illustrations by Andrea Tacheza, whose unmistakable signature includes a combination of drawings and collages, can then, on a single page, move a fox family put to sleep in the same bed, while at the same time entertaining perhaps the smallest fox cub, who has back runs and a bum instead of a snout on his pillow.
