Jidáš
Twenty-five-year-old Shmuel Ash is forced by a dire family situation to interrupt his studies at university and, in a house on the outskirts of Jerusalem, keeps the lame Mr. Waldo company in exchange for room and board, with whom he debates history and politics. Their conversations concern, among other things, the figure of Judas Iscariot, whose role in relation to Jesus Shmuel reflects on in his unfinished bachelor's thesis. The house is also home to the beautiful and mysterious Atalya, the daughter of a one-time opponent of the founders of the Israeli state, forced out of public office and branded a traitor. The tragic story of Atalya's father draws Shmuel more and more strongly, but he is even more fascinated by the woman herself - with her charm, her coldness and her gradually unfolding painful fate.
